Are you considering put your house on the market because it's old and needs renovating in order for you to continue to live in it? If you're going to spend boatloads of money on your piece of Burnaby or Vaughan real estate properties to sell anyway why not just spend a little more and fix it for yourself?
The way we see it is that you only really have three options when it comes to fixer upper types of Burnaby or Markham real estate properties. One, sell it as is. That would mean you wouldn't make much money from the sale because whoever would buy it would be spending a lot of money to fix it and it wouldn't be worth their while to spend a lot on Burnaby or Bolton homes they'd have to renovate.
Your second option would be to spend a lot of money on the home yourself, renovating and repairing it, and then putting it up for sale on the market once the repair and renovation process is over. That would ensure you get fair market value or more for the home. It will be pricey and time consuming though. Do you really want to put in all that money and hard work into your home only to watch someone else benefit from it?
Your third option instead of selling your unsuitable home or renovating and repairing your home and then putting it up for sale is to just renovate it for yourself. Bring it up to the level you require to live in and enjoy the sense of accomplishment it comes with. It can be expensive to renovate or repair a home but there are options out there you can look into such as renovation loans. Renovation loans are like pretty much any other type of loan except the money you are loaned is used for the specific purpose of renovating or repairing your home.
You can use the money to buy tools, materials such as windows, hire a Burnaby or London home builder, hire a crew, rent machinery, etc. Whatever it is you need done to your home you can use the renovation loan money to get it. So, you should at least consider renovating or repairing your home for you to live in it before you put up your Burnaby or Edmonton real estate for sale. You'll be glad you did. |
